Are you wondering how to get relief from foot pain? While the underlying causes of some foot pain can be serious, there are some conditions that are fairly common, and the pain can be alleviated at home with a few simple steps. Our podiatrist near Rockville, MD, explains more here.
Sometimes foot pain is easily treated at home. A few common foot problems that don’t require immediate medical attention, such as aching feet or an overextended muscle, can be relieved with some rest and at-home care. As long as the pain is not severe or debilitating, the below steps may be helpful.

Try to keep weight off of your foot as much as possible. Anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen can be used to relieve pain as well.
Additionally, massaging your feet and soaking them in an Epsom salt foot bath for 30 minutes can help with aching.
