In this season of joy, peace and love, we are reminded how very privileged we are to count special friends like you among our many blessings. We are honored that you have entrusted our staff at the Podiatry Center with the responsibility of serving your family's healthcare needs and are grateful for the confidence you have shown us.

What a wonderful time to be grateful for the things many can take for granted.  We are often asked, “how do I know if I need a Bethesda, MD, podiatrist?”  We decided to take a moment to answer a few of the most commonly asked questions.

IS FOOT PAIN NORMAL?

If you are suffering from foot or ankle pain, it is important that you see a podiatrist before the problem worsens and becomes harder to treat. Lingering foot pain is a sign of a problem that must be handled by a professional. Our podiatry office in Bethesda, MD has staff ready to aid you in assessing your needs.

WHAT ARE FALLEN ARCHES?

“Fallen arches” is a common term for a person with flat feet.  Flat feet can be caused by a muscle/tendon imbalance in the foot.  Fallen arches can be hereditary or it can develop slowly over time.  Some people do not have pain with flat feet; however, some people can develop severe pain and should seek treatment.  Call our offices to see if you may benefit from fallen arch treatment using their state of the art custom orthotic therapy!

WHY DO MY ANKLES SWELL?

Swelling in the legs, ankles and feet, also called edema, is most commonly due to high blood pressure, heart and lung disease, and problems with the veins in the legs.  If left untreated, swelling in the lower limbs can cause pain and even open wounds. If you have persistent ankle swelling, contact our office for immediate treatment.

THANK YOU!

On behalf of the our Bethesda podiatrists, we would like to send you warm wishes for a very happy and joyous holiday season! Patients like you make our jobs easy!
